This weekend was time to clean up the white onion patch in the garden. The tops have been tumbling one by one over the past few weeks, but with the threat of rain last night, I had to do them yesterday. Otherwise, I risked a big pile of slimy rotten onions.
I got a pretty good haul. The pile shown below yielded about a paper grocery sack full of onions.

And even though they were only in the ground a couple of months, I had two that are almost the size of softballs. I’ll be planting more onions this fall.
I wish my purple onions looked this good.
