Last month, I got brave and entered my first art show. My friend Ramona at Texas Art Asylum enocuraged me to give it a go.
I started playing with mixed media late last fall. Since then I’ve put together quite the stash of different materials and have been experimenting. I’ve got paper, paint, and glass bead medium on this piece. This weekend I think I’m going to try playing with string gel. It looks interesting and I’m feeling the need to create.
I’m also participating in an online class called Unravelling. I’m nervous about this, but excited too. One of the things that I figured out in the first couple days is that I’m essentially invisible. While I write a lot, I’m rarely in pictures. That needs to change.

You are on the right track. One of my favorite quotes is by Eleanor Roosevelt. Do one thing each day that scares you.
Good for you! Art is meant to be showed and enjoyed by others!
I’m inspired! This is a lovely piece, I happy you’re brave enough to show it. I know many people that make some beautiful art but won’t never share it. Much love!
