- I’m my mother’s first child and my father’s middle child.
- I was married once.
- My current relationship has lasted longer than all my other relationships combined.
- I was an archaeologist at one time. Contrary to popular belief it is not like Indiana Jones. I did however get to work with some neat cool artifacts in the American Southwest.
- I’ve been writing since middle school. It’s always been there.
- I started with photography when I was in high school
- I can develop my own black and white film – and often do in my bathroom at home.
- I collect vintage cameras and those that work I use.
- Even though I’m left handed, I use right-handed scissors. They feel more comfortable to me
- If I could do anything for a year and know that I could succeed. I’d raise all of my own food including the meat and then write about it and share that experience in pictures.

Gerri: I learned in high school when I was photography editor of the yearbook. I had a very good photography mentor in Mr. D. He encouraged me to take lots of pictures and so I did
archaelogy sounds like an intriguing ‘day job’
perhaps one day your writing and photography will help an archaelogist of the future piece together a story from the ‘past’
