1x5x17.5s
1x5x17.5s
Will stay here for a little bit.
Cool Down
Supermans (10)
Lying Scorpions (15 each side)
Not a bad workout over all. I was a little surprised by the hip because it felt pretty good until I went to try and pick up the 130 for the squat. It just didn’t feel good so I ditched the heavy set. Will try for it next week.
Other than that, this was a good workout.

1 can of packed pumpkin (not the pumpkin pie filling)
1.5 Cups of Egg White
1 tsp of Maple Syrup
Cinnamon and Nutmeg to taste
3 Scoops of vanilla protein powder (although I had to sub in a scoop of Butter Cream toffee dymatize because I ran out of vanilla)
Mix Pumpkin, Egg Whites, Maple Syrup and Spices together until fairly smooth. Add PP and mix until well combined.
Heat Griddle until sizzling hot and spray with a bit of pam. pour 2/3 cup of batter onto griddle and cook like a regular pancake (mine were about 8 inches in diameter – if you want a smaller pancake use 1/2 cup to ladle batter onto grill). Flip when top begins to look set and almost dry.

Tonight I was mixing up some pumpkin pancakes and I used the last of the store bought eggs I had. R. gave me some of eggs from his mom’s chickens on Sunday and I needed to crack some to get the rest of the egg whites I needed for the pancakes. It’s been a while since I’ve had access to farm fresh eggs and I had forgotten how marvelous they look (and taste!).
The yolks were an absolutely marvelous shade of golden yellow. So rich a yellow that the yolks from the store bought eggs looked pale and puny like the colors of an underexposed photograph. It felt sinful watching them run down the bottom of the sink and into the insinkerator.

After months of inconsistent activity, it feels good to be back on the wagon in terms of exercising (I’m getting close on the food plan wagon, just not quite there yet). The 5x5is going well and I’m looking forward to the next month of lifting.

Overall a pretty good workout. Was sweating pretty good after the warmup and then when I got into the workout, sweat really started pouring. Squats felt super easy. Incline bench and CDLs I was eeking out the last set. Grip was lacking on the last set of CDLs.

I didn’t realize the spider was there initially. I didn’t see it until the very end of the series of shots I took of the honey bee.
